Partnership Work Leads to Raised Food Hygiene Standards & Higher Skill Levels
Published 15 April 2013
Partnership work between Employment and Skills Board Sector Champions and members of the Leeds City Region Skills Network has led to a pilot project for Wakefield based catering and hospitality companies.
Supported by the Skills Enhancement Fund, the Up Your Ratings project will help business owner and managers achieve high ‘scores on doors’ food hygiene ratings.
Businesses will also benefit from learning how the rating can be used to attract new customers and increase profits.
Cllr Maureen Cummings, Wakefield Council’s Cabinet Member for environment and communities, said:
“Wakefield based companies can take advantage of this fantastic initiative. We’ve received excellent feedback so far and places are still available for sessions running in April.”
Successful Partnership Working
Louise Tearle, Partnership Director for Leeds City Region Skills Network added:
"This is another excellent example of successful partnership working that will help improve businesses and increase the skills of employees in Leeds City Region."
