Skills Minister Endorses Partnership Agreement

During a recent visit to the region Skills Minister Matthew Hancock MP met with Michele Sutton, Chair of the Leeds City Region Skills Network and WYCC, and representatives of the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership Employment and Skills Board to hear about the Skills Partnership Agreement.
The Partnership Agreement sets out how the Local Enterprise Partnership will work with Leeds City Region Skills Network to develop the skills needed for the future growth of the city region's economy.
The Agreement has been signed by all of the college principals, university leaders and chief executives from the Skills Network. This unique collaboration is made up of 14 further education colleges, 9 higher education institutions as well as voluntary and community, private training and employability providers from across Leeds City Region.
The pioneering partnership between the LEP and Skills Network has been recognised by the Government as a leading example of collaborative working.
