Aspiration Extension Officially Opens to Support Construction Industry Skills Gap

The £1.4m extension and refurbishment to the college’s Aspiration Building was formally opened in front of representatives from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership. Also attending were senior college staff and governors, plus local school heads, employers and civic leaders from Selby, North Yorkshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

After approaching the LEP skills service for support and funding towards training costs for their staff, the Calderdale based company were able to invest in a variety of training best suited to developing the business through upskilling members of their 90+ workforce across various departments.
