After approaching the LEP skills service for support and funding towards training costs for their staff, the Calderdale based company were able to invest in a variety of training best suited to developing the business through upskilling members of their 90+ workforce across various departments.

Leeds City Region Skills Plan Unveiled to Skills Leaders

Leeds City Region Employment and Skills Plan was unveiled to an audience of over 120 skills leaders at the Leeds City Region Skills Network’s Annual Conference.

Setting out the LEP’s Plan for Skilled People, Better Jobs, Stephanie Burras CBE, Chair of Leeds City Region’s Employment and Skills Panel, launched the Plan to chief executives, principals and a wealth of senior representatives from the region’s colleges, universities and private training providers at Leeds City College’s Printworks Campus last month.

Joint Venture Agreement Unites West Yorkshire Colleges

Colleges in West Yorkshire have signed a Joint Venture Agreement that unites the region’s further education sector.

The Agreement, signed at Kirklees College (pictured), symbolises the commitment from FE Colleges in West Yorkshire to work together to fulfil the region’s skills priorities and comes fully supported by the LEP and other key strategic partners.
