About Us

Who are we and what do we do?

We are a network of further education colleges, universities, private & voluntary sector skills providers and employability providers.

Working with you, working with your organisation

Through our members we work to meet the needs of employers and the Leeds City Region economy by providing access to skills and training.

Largest economy outside London

Leeds City Region is the UK’s largest economy and population centre outside London.

1.3 million people are employed in the region, which includes Barnsley, Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, York and Wakefield.

Through this unique collaboration our members are well placed to offer a wide range of solutions to suit all skills needs.

Working together to meet the skills needs of the Leeds City Region

In April 2011, representatives from further education colleges, universities and private and voluntary sector skills providers came together to form the Leeds City Region Skills Network.

Meeting the needs of employers

Our members work together through this unique collaboration to meet the needs of employers and the city region economy.

Leeds City Region Skills Network is leading the way in terms of collaborating with the Local Enterprise Partnership and our commitment to working together is reflected in the Skills Partnership Agreement.
